Urban Streetphotography in Hamburg
Hamburg, the largest port city in Germany is a true treasure trove for photographers. The impressive atmosphere in and around the harbour and the UNESCO World Heritage district Speicherstadt with its historical warehouses in channels invites not only for architectural photography. Rather, it is an Eldorado for urban streetphotgraphy.
The Olympus company invited me to an event and so I had the opportunity to discover the city with my PEN-F again after more than 20 years. A visit in the House of photography inside the Deichtorhallen was one of the highlights and a perfect opportunity to admire exceptional photography. It continued through the warehouse district Speicherstadt and the Kontorhausviertel with its beautiful architecture. Finally it went along at the invitation of Olympus on a sailboat with three masts across the Elbe river.
In the video you can see a short summary of a creativ photographic weekend. A small selection of my favorite single frames can be found in the blog-post. All images are taken with the Olympus PEN-F in mono-mode 2.
